Ty Hydref
Description

Ty hydref, 74 New Street, Beaumaris, Anglesey

The town is self contained so much so that you do not need to use your car.  There are shops for everything, freshly baked bread everyday (apart from Sundays) five minutes walk away and the aroma first thing really makes you feel on holiday.  Along the main street you will find fresh fruit, veg and flowers, Stanley Butchers for local meat and poultry,  they also have a good selection of frozen fish.  There are newsagents, café’s, restaurants and a small supermarket (Spar).  There are antique shops and boutiques, a couple of chemists and Banks.  Just up from the main street is Sarah’s Deli and Coffee Shop which is a treat.

Beaumaris is full of history with its ancient Castle and is well worth exploring but not only that there are walks from the door, cycle routes, a golf course and as you would expect sailing.  The Yacht Club is on the front and if not participating you can sit and watch yacht races or the boats navigating up the Menai Straits and negotiating the daunting Swellies.

Most of all, a tour round this little island is a delight or a visit to the mainland to see other Towns and Castles, for instance Bangor, Conway or Caernarvon and Snowdonia is always there if you fancy a good walk!

About our cottage…….

A cosy little cottage,, just for two people, with gas central heating and double glazing.  Open the front door, turn right down the street and in about 250 yds is the sea.

You come into the delightful little sitting/dining room furnished with coordinating fabrics to compliment the pine furniture.  Coal effect fire, sofa, rocking chair, gateleg table and chairs.
